There’s not much to say regarding the recipe, and that’s because all the job and taste are made by the 3 types of melons. The most important thing I want to tell you is that you need to drink it immediately, and not let the juice stand not even for an hour. Not even the freezer can’t sustain the fresh-made taste… When freshly made it tastes nice, but when left for some time (a few hours) it gets bitter.
I’ll not write an entire story on how to prepare the melons, instead, I will show you this video:
As you are accustomed to my recipes, the health benefits are important, therefore I write the most important ones (at least). The 3 melon juice mix is Rich in Nutrients, Help Reduce Blood Pressure, Contains Nutrients Vital to Bone Health, Improve Blood Sugar Control, Rich in Electrolytes and Water, Support a Healthy Skin, Boost Your Immune System, and Promote a Proper Digestion. Melons are not only low in calories and fat, but they are also high in vitamins, minerals, and water content. In fact, a fresh watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew contain up to 90% water, making them some of the most thirst-quenching snacks around the world.
While melons do contain fruit sugar (fructose) like all other fruits, 90 percent is water. Just because it tastes sweet doesn’t make it high in sugar. You can taste its sweetness without second thoughts.
Milk and melons should not be eaten together because milk is a laxative and melon diuretic. Milk requires more time for digestion. Moreover, the stomach acid required to digest the melon causes the milk to curdle, so I advise not to drink milk and melon juice mix, at least for 4 hours in between.
I’ll quote leaf.tv in this matter:
If the melon is still whole, it develops soft spots and bruises that become increasingly prominent. The entire melon gets soft and eventually becomes unable to hold its shape. You might notice liquid seeping out through the rind, and the melon gives off an unpleasant odor. The flesh becomes darker orange and mushy too.
Because 90% of melon is water, it’s one of the best fruits to eat or drink if you’re trying to lose weight. A 100-grams/serving contains only 29 calories. In addition to helping the body stay hydrated, snacking on any type of melon will help you feel full so you won’t have cravings between meals. Therefore, this juice can help you lose weight and stay hydrated! Additionally, this juice contains beneficial nutrients like antioxidants and other powerful compounds that can benefit your health.
I like to read a lot about fruits, veggies, and meat (like their properties, best combinations, and other lectures), and one article caught my attention. The fact that melons are not good to eat after 07:00 – 08:00 PM. I always serve my fruits or fruit juices in the morning, but now I know why I shouldn’t eat/drink after dinner. I’ll quote NDTV with their melon recommendations:
“I would not recommend consumption of melon or any fruit after 7 pm. The melon is slightly acidic and if consumed at night, it may delay the process of digestion when the body is inactive. The best time to eat melon is around 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM when the digestion rate is high and active.“
I'm sorry you didn't like it 🙁
Tell me, how can I improve this recipe? Your opinion is very important.
