About the Best Vegan Minestrone Soup Recipe

This Italian recipe originates from the Roman empire. Being so old, the recipe for Minestrone Soup had a lot of time to suffer variations to satisfy the public’s needs. This Vegan variation is made without rice or pasta (as the original Minestrone Soup Recipe is), but I balanced the flavors of ingredients to satisfy any taste critic. From all the Vegan recipes who have the title with “best or ultimate”, don’t even approach mine.

As you are accustomed to my work and know my recipes are carefully modified (as any other good cook does), you’ll notice one thing about this one: I use organic garbanzo beans, kidney beans, and Italian tomatoes. Why I used organic instead of standard ingredients? The Minestrone Soup I’ve prepared isn’t just a vegan recipe, but it’s also very good for a weight-loss diet and body detoxification.

The Versatility of This Minestrone Soup Recipe

It’s hard to say how many variations there are, but one thing is for sure… are over 1000 versatile types of minestrone soup under many names and titles.

As per Wikipedia, because of its unique origins and the absence of a fixed recipe, minestrone varies widely across Italy depending on traditional cooking times, ingredients, and season. Minestrone ranges from a thick and dense texture with very boiled-down vegetables, to a more brothy soup with large quantities of diced and lightly cooked vegetables; it may also include meats.

In modern Italian there are three words corresponding to the English word soup: Zuppa, which is used in the sense of tomato soup, or fish soup; minestra, which is used in the sense of a more substantial soup such as a vegetable soup, and also for “dry” soups, namely pasta dishes; and minestrone, which means a very substantial or large soup or stew, though the meaning has now come to be associated with this particular dish.

What is the difference between minestrone and vegetable soup?

More and more users have asked me the actual difference between Vegan minestrone and Vegan vegetable soup. Even if most people don’t see the difference, there is one. Vegan Minestrone soup is made with vegetables that can thicken the water, which can even disintegrate a bit. The vegan Vegetable soup, though, has the veggies boiled just a little, being eaten whole.

Can I freeze or refrigerate vegan minestrone soup? For how long?

The great thing about this soup is that it has very simple ingredients in it. Therefore, if you want to freeze the vegan minestrone soup, you can do it for up to a month, or refrigerate it for up to 3-4 days. It is easy to make in bulk, freeze, and reheat later on.

What do you eat or go along with minestrone soup?

Well, the minestrone soup is a great first course, and I don’t recommend eating it along with another dish. But if you want, prepare some garlic croutons and add them just before you serve it, to have more flavor. For me, this vegetable soup doesn’t need anything to go with it.

Is minestrone soup good for a weight-loss diet?

Minestrone Soup is very healthy, and of course, you can add it in your meal plan if you have a weight-loss diet. Have 389 Calories, but it has very low fat and 0 cholesterol. This means that it is a great dish for a weight-loss plan.
