About the Pork Chops with Orange Glaze Recipe
When it comes to pork recipes for a great family dinner, I like to make changes and add ingredients for a balanced taste and more flavor. As my cookbook is live, I can’t add a recipe without testing it and modifying the ingredients until is perfect. Therefore, the recipe for orange-glazed pork chops was modified nine times until I liked the taste and the glaze texture. Now, I am proud to say that this is the ultimate dish for this recipe. In the ingredient list, I’ve added some variations in case you want something other than pork loin.
My recipe for Pork Chops with Orange Glaze needs a bit of white wine to tender the meat, and also water to dilute the alcohol a bit. It is very simple to prepare, doesn’t need to shop a lot for ingredients, has a great design, and can be prepared for special occasions.
Some notes for Pork Chops
Suitable for roasting, grilling, or frying, but there are also recipes for stuffed pork chops. They can be used with or without bone, and are usually cut between 1⁄2 and 2 inches thick. Improved pig farming techniques have allowed pork to be cooked at a lower temperature, helping the meat to remain juicy, but safe to eat. Government guidelines now recommend a minimum temperature for cooking this kind of meat at 145 ° F (63 ° C).
Tips
- Essential Equipment: 10-inch skillet.
- For recipe success, stir the cornstarch mixture constantly while you are heating it. Otherwise, the consistency will be lumpy and uneven.
- If you do not want to use water, add instead 2 Tbsp of wine.
- For a better design, add a slice of orange near the pork chops.
Serve with / Side-dish Ideas
Scrub fresh medium sweet potato with a vegetable brush, and pierce with a fork or knife. Bake at 350º for about 1 hour or until tender when pierced with a fork. Serve with butter. This is my way to prepare this dish, but you can also serve it with french potatoes and caesar sauce.
If you want to keep the design as flawless as it can be, prepare Cheese Twice-Baked Potatoes as a side dish. In my opinion, this kind of side is the best of all, creating a good combo in flavor and design. Pork chops with orange glaze is excellent as it is, but with a side will be perfect.
About Pork Loin
Pork loin is an excellent source of protein, thiamine, vitamin B6, phosphorus, and niacin, and it also has good sources of potassium, riboflavin, and zinc. Pork loin comes from the back of the pig, and is different from the tenderloin. If you’re looking for the healthiest pork options, this is it.
