Prepare the rice to have it done the same time with the Beef Stake (Step 7).

When the onion is ready (as mentioned in step 4), add broccoli in the frying pan and start to stir. Cook for up to 10 minutes or until the beef steak is almost cooked through.

Now, you need to put back the remaining marinade from step 1. Stir for 3 minutes.

Variations of the recipe for Beef Steak & Broccoli with Soy Sauce

Yes, there are variations in any recipe, even in this recipe for Beef Steak & Broccoli with Soy Sauce. Anything is possible; Your kitchen, your cooking, your taste!

1. Use Pea Pods instead of Broccoli.

The fact that we keep about the same nutritional value, but slightly changing the taste of the recipe does not affect anything, it’s all about the taste. In the end, it’s about cooking something that you eat with pleasure, not keeping ingredients for the sake of a recipe! If you like Pea Pods more than Broccoli, be my guest and make the change!

2. Use steak strips

For people who have a limited time for cooking, you can use steak strips instead of steak tips. Usually, the steak strips are packed for stir-fry. Those are the ones you can set as a variation for this recipe.

3. Use frozen broccoli

Use frozen broccoli instead of fresh broccoli, but make sure you cook for just 2-3 minutes after adding, instead of 10 minutes as you did with the fresh ones. The frozen broccoli doesn’t have the exact same taste but will do the trick, and you’ll save about 7-8 minutes of cooking.

4. This is the original recipe

Below, you’ll find the ingredients, cooking time, and servings for the original recipe. In 25 minutes, you can make a perfect dish without much effort.

If you want to boil the Broccoli…

Add 1 inch of water (and 1/4 teaspoon salt if desired) to a medium saucepan (about 3-quart size). Add the broccoli spears or pieces. Cover and heat to boiling over high heat. Once water is boiling, reduce the heat just enough so the water bubbles gently. Cook uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until crisp-tender when pierced with a fork; drain in a strainer.
