About Seared Snapper recipe and Mars Salad
When it comes to seafood and fish recipes, I usually use salmon fillets in my meals. But from time to time it is good to change these habits, but changing them does not mean that you will make them worse, especially when it comes to preparing something for a meal… especially seafood.
Therefore, I chose snapper fillets instead of salmon, a decision I didn’t regret it. In the recipe, you’ll see I added ginger, corn, and small chilies (sliced and seeds removed) to spice it up a bit. By doing so, the result for the seared snapper was tremendous and my family loved it. The recipe has few ingredients, but I recommend going to your nearest supermarket to buy the Snapper fish, fresh and filleted.
Variations for this recipe
To reduce the price of this meal, choose other fresh fish that fit your budget or try frozen options. You can choose frozen snapper fillets or frozen salmon fillets (fresh salmon would be a better choice). To the dish, you can also add asparagus for greater nutrition and minerals. If you do choose to add asparagus to the recipe when shopping for it, look for smooth, firm, medium-sized spears with tightly closed tips. The cover stem ends with a damp paper towel, wrap airtight, and store in the refrigerator up to three days or cook it directly if you decide to prepare this recipe on the same day.
What is Mars Salad?
To complete the meal, I’ve decided to write down the Mars salad recipe also. The best match for Seared Snapper is to have a salad with avocado in its ingredients. I wanted to add this salad to also respect the weight-loss properties and remain a vegetarian dish. To make it, you only need one avocado (cubed), four cups mixed salad greens, one punnet cherry tomato (halved), one cucumber (diced), balsamic vinegar, and olive oil… simple!
Weight-loss diet with Seared Snapper Fillets Recipe & Mars Salad
The truth behind the Seared Snapper Fillets with Mars Salad is that my husband wanted a tasty meal for his weight-loss diet. He is very picky when it comes to food, but he married a great cook (his words, not mine :p). Returning to the dish, it is perfect for weight-loss programs due to its low-calorie intake, low-fat and saturated fat, being also a great source of minerals and vitamins. Besides the seared snapper, the side salad named Mars also brings great minerals and vitamins along with the main meal, making the brain thinks that the stomach is full for a longer period. This is very important when you need to decide upon what recipe should choose to lose weight.
Seared Snapper Fillets Recipe & Mars Salad can be prepared by Vegetarians
The Seared Snapper Fillets & Mars Salad can be prepared by vegetarian persons who are in search of fish or seafood proteins. The dish is extremely nutritious and has a lot of antioxidants. Therefore, if you are vegetarian, you can choose this recipe for a lot of reasons (explained above).
Snapper’s Health Benefits
Fish is among the healthiest foods on the planet. The most important fact regarding seafood is the load with important nutrients, such as protein and vitamin D. Fish is also a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are incredibly important for your body and brain. Returning to our main ingredient, the snapper is a low-calorie food, lean source of protein, and is rich in selenium, vitamin A, potassium, and omega-3 fatty acids. It aids weight management, prevents heart disease, lowers the risk of megaloblastic anemia, lowers stress, supports thyroid health, boosts the number of white blood cells, strengthens bone mineral density, lowers blood pressure, stimulates cognitive function, and boosts the health of the nervous system. Now, add to this health benefits the ones from the other ingredients and salad… great huh?
