About Oven-Barbecued Chicken

It’s always a great idea to cook poultry from time to time instead of beef or pork. It’s ok to change the type of meat, and by doing so you also change the proteins. Moreover, it’s a good idea to use your oven instead of oil-frying methods. Well, a lot of great ideas in this recipe, huh? Twice a week I cook chicken for my family, and I think it is the best way to look after my loved ones’ health. For sure you think the same, therefore indulge yourself with this tasty dish. If you don’t want to prepare it in your oven, read here about the other methods of cooking the chicken. The BBQ sauce is great with poultry (not the same as for pork, but still), especially if you want to prepare a greater amount for a big family. Oven-Barbecued Chicken is one of those meals that makes you crave more, so be careful how many servings you eat.

Great recipe for light slimming diets

This type of barbeque is used for lightweight-loss diets, where meat is included in the program, but only poultry. Chili is another ingredient used for fat burning and a lot of slimming programs. It helps you with your weight-loss, but also adds a great flavor to the BBq sauce.

As per SFGATE, skinless chicken breast is a welcome addition to any effective weight-loss meal plan, due to its calorie and protein content. Your overall calorie intake and energy expenditure determine whether or not you’ll be successful in losing weight. Eating chicken breast, without breading or skin, helps you eat fewer calories and even burn extra calories for effective weight loss. Not only can eating breast chicken help you shed pounds, but it has positive effects on body composition. A 2013 study in “Obesity” found that boosting dietary protein decreases total body fat and abdominal fat but helps increase lean body mass and your body’s energy expenditure during periods of weight maintenance and weight loss. Subjects who participated in this study obtained approximately 35 percent of their calorie intake from protein.

Health benefits from Poultry

Poultry is the healthiest meat you can eat. As per a 2015 study for the role of poultry meat in a balanced diet aimed at maintaining health and wellbeing, epidemiological studies conducted across various parts of the world, in highly diverse populations, with different food preferences and nutritional habits, provide solid information on the association between diet and health. Several prospective studies support the association between poultry consumption, within a balanced diet, and a reduction in the risk of developing cardiovascular (CV) diseases and their risk factors, such as for overweight and insulin resistance, and tumors.

Notes and Tips

  1. Essential Equipment: 13 × 9-inch rectangular pan.
  2. To save time, omit sauce ingredients and use 1 cup purchased barbecue sauce, but keep in mind that what is made in your kitchen will always be tastier.
  3. When handling uncooked poultry, be sure to keep your hands, utensils, and countertops soap-and-hot-water clean. When cleaning up after working with raw poultry, be sure to use disposable paper towels.
  4. Oven-Barbecued Chicken can be included only in light slimming programs. If you want to have better results, ditch the BBQ sauce.
