Prepare the onion and bell pepper

Cut the red bell pepper lengthwise in half, and cut out seeds and membrane. Chop the red bell pepper. Peel and chop the onion.

Prepare the White Long Grain Rice

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat 1 minute. Cook the onion and uncooked rice in the oil for about 4 minutes, stirring frequently until rice is golden brown.

Stir in the rest of ingredients

Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the bell pepper, water, green peas, and salt. Heat to boiling over boiling heat, stirring occasionally. Once the mixture is boiling, reduce heat just enough so mixture bubbles gently. Cover and cook about 28 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Once the mixture is thick, turn off the heater and serve in serving dishes (about 4 servings). Enjoy!
