What kind of meal can you serve without a side dish? Not so many! Side dishes have an important role in the culinary art, like every Batman has his Robin, any main course needs a side dish.
Side Dishes are accompaniments and not the main course as some people think. Think of a side dish as a small offering or main dish of the meal. The purpose of a side dish is to balance and complement the main dishes of a meal (as an accessory of the meat).
Side dishes have many names, also known as a side order, side preparation, entrée (French borrowed word), or simply “side”.
Besides the fact I need to write a lot more recipes (my own recipes), you will find here a variety of side dishes such as (with the main ingredient) rice, potatoes, sauces, eggs and more.
