Ground Beef with Mozzarella is an American recipe made in a casserole dish, stuffed with green beans and tomato sauce. The Mozzarella added before cooking will make the casserole dish sinfully rich, better flavor and gooey. The ground beef is popular as a quick-cooking form of beef, but it also is very tasteful and is used as a common ingredient around the world. The Mozzarella is added to give to the ground beef a special flavor as it does to the Italian Lasagna. I have used mozzarella instead of any other kind of cheese because it does not hide the taste of the ground beef, instead, it adds a neutral flavor.
Instead of Mozzarella, you can use Cheddar cheese, depending on what you like the most. This recipe is made for ground beef with Mozzarella, but some people use both Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese in the casserole dish, for a more tasteful flavor. Either you like it simple or with Cheddar cheese, I assure you will like it! In this recipe, I used frozen green beans but you can add fresh green beans as the taste will not change too much, the only thing it will change is the cooking time. After you take out the casserole from the oven, you can also add some Parmigiano to intensify the taste.
As part of the Dinner Cooking Recipes, you can use it on many occasions, but our recommendation is to cook and eat only with your extended family. This means husband, children, parents, brother or sister, grandparents, parents in law, brother or sister in law, close relatives and friends. It’s not because the Ground Beef with Mozzarella doesn’t have a good taste, but more about its appearance. The design of this dish is more for close relatives or close friends rather than for special occasions. You can make it on Thanksgiving dinner for example.
If you see closer the two images (one from the title and the other one) will observe they are both distinct, one with meatballs and the other one with the ground beef bed. That’s because this dish can be made with or without meatballs. You can also make triangles, cubes, flat pyramid or anything you can think about, the imagination is the limit. The great thing about ground meat, especially beef, is that you can mold it as you want and still have a great taste… well, still have the same taste…
If what I described above isn’t enough, there are a lot of things you might consider before you skip this recipe. In fact, the combined flavor between beef meat and mozzarella is one of the greatest. Adding also some cheddar cheese will make it even more marvelous! You can also add (besides the main ingredients and green beans) some red and yellow bell pepper. Another great thing is the cooking time (under one hour) even if it is a casserole dish.
