Tortillas with Ground Beef is a recipe from Mexican Cuisine, easy to make and perfect for a spicy meal. A tortilla is a type of soft, thin flatbread made from finely ground corn or wheat flour. There are more than 30 types of tortilla recipes. Each type is derived in another 20-30 subtypes, depending on what ingredients are used. The Tortilla with ground beef is perfect for a midday meal, taken at school, work or to delight yourself at home.
If you don’t know how many Tortilla-based dishes are out there, see here a list of this (self integrated) Fast Food snack. You can also find tortillas at your local supermarket or fast food delivery, but the homemade dish a lot more flavor than those. This Ground Beef Tortilla recipe has ingredients like chopped onion, garlic, frozen corn, tomato sauce, and fresh parsley. More information about the ingredients can be found in the ingredients section. Keep in mind that the Nutritional Information is for one Tortilla. I wrote the best variations (find them in the ingredients list), starting from the most simple and basic tortilla (the upper ingredients).
Because there are hundreds of recipes with this kind of dish, I thought it’s ok to integrate some variations due to the fact you may perceive the tastes differently, or like other ingredients. For starters, you can add additional spices such as Oregano, Cumin, and Chili Powder. Two (2) tablespoons each it’s enough. Another variation is to use dried parsley instead of fresh. You can also change the parsley ingredient and use coriander instead. Making these changes may change the original taste, but it’s like I’ve said, tastes differ from one person to another. You can also add Cheddar Cheese or Mozzarella (1 tablespoon for each tortilla), but I like it simple. It’s up to you! Keep in mind that the mozzarella is like a nullifier and the Cheddar cheese adds another flavor.
We all are different as people, so are our taste buds. There is no good answer to this question, but I’ll try to choose an option. The basic ingredients (the upper part of the ingredients) must be integrated. On the second part of the tortilla ingredient list (ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS TO TASTE), I would use Chili Powder, Salt, and Oregano. Going down, for the best flavor for this kind of tortilla with ground beef I will also add the Cheddar Cheese to add more taste. Remember, these ingredients I’ve chosen are only from my point of view (my taste – American). If you’re Italian for example, You can change the Cheddar Cheese with Mozzarella to nullify the flavors and most probably skip the Chili ingredient.
You cannot make quesadillas or other dishes without tortillas. The tortillas are used in various ways, for almost anything you can think about. To be honest, when you think about Mexican food, tortillas and chili are the first that pop-up in mind. Mexican cuisine offers great dishes and from my point of view, it is among the top 5 cuisines in the world, also for their originality.
I'm sorry you didn't like it 🙁

Prepare the Ground Beef
Add the rest of ingredients
Add 1/2 can tomato sauce, 2 crushed cloves garlic, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens. In the end, add 1 cup of frozen corn and cook for another 2-3 minutes. As a variation, you can add also Oregano, Cumin, and Chili Powder (2 tablespoons for each). Remove the frying pan from heat.
Prepare the Tortillas
As the mixture for tortillas is ready, you need to roll them up. Put the ground beef mixture in each tortilla and sprinkle with parsley (or sprinkle with Coriander, depending on which variation you want). You can also warm the tortillas before adding the mixture. As a final touch, if you chose the cheddar cheese or mozzarella topping, add it last. Bon Appétit!
