Stew & Soup Recipes, some made especially for Winter season. When it’s cold outside, a good stew or soup can be your natural protection, therefore these recipes are carefully selected and presented step-by-step to you.
A stew is a combination of solid food ingredients such as carrots, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and beans that have been cooked in liquid (water, vegetable or meat stock) and served in the resultant gravy, usually in a bowl. A stew can also include meat (chicken, pork, or beef), especially tougher meats suitable for slow-cooking. I like to add seasoning and flavoring ingredients for a greater taste. My stews are typically cooked at a relatively low temperature (simmered, not boiled), allowing flavors to be blended.
Soups are made by combining ingredients of meat or vegetables with water, or broth. I like to boil the liquid for my soups in a pot until the flavors are extracted, forming a broth. My soups are similar to stews, but generally, my recipes for soups have more liquid (water or broth) quantity.
Here you can find a wide variety of stews recipes, healthy, for weight-loss, for vegetarians, vegans or raw vegans. You can also find seasonal stew or soup recipes to prepare the meals for the right season (especially summer and winter).
